The 11th National Breast Care Nurses Conference

New Horizons for Breast Care Nurses will be held on 11-13 February 2009 at The Sebel & Citigate Albert Park Melbourne.

The Cancer Council Victoria is collaborating with Breast Care Nurses from the Epworth Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre to bring this conference to Breast Care Nurses throughout Australasia.

The conference objectives are to:
• link Breast Care Nurses throughout Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Malaysia
• clinically update nurses in the breast cancer area with the latest knowledge and skills
• provide a theatre for debate and education regarding the role of the breast care nurse throughout the continuum of treatment
• highlight the importance of the Breast Care Nurse at any stage of the breast cancer experience including diagnosis, recurrence or palliation
• emphasise the importance of the Breast Care Nurse as a participating member of the multi-disciplinary team.

This conference will help improve services to women affected by breast cancer in Victoria.

All presenters are recognised experts in the treatment and management of breast cancer (program is regularly updated).
